My Life by Elle

My Grade School Experience

When I first started going to school, I used to be extroverted and quite energetic. I would often tell my classmates what to do in a way that I act like a teacher, making me the last person to finish my work because of my whimsical attitude. And I believe this was the start of my very interesting life in academia, as I’ve been a consistent honor student since.

My Middle School Experience

When I got into middle school, that was the time where we moved places. So the days where I used to know people ended, and I had to adapt to a new school environment. It was pretty difficult, since most people already know each other. And because the school systems in the Philippines were vastly different than in the US, changing schools in middle school felt like joining a school year mid-semester. But I suppose it served as some kind of experience for me to carry to my high school days.

My High School Experience

This had to be the most emotional rollercoaster experience of my academic life. From moving to different schools to a whole different country, my high school days were filled with so many memories. Back in my sophomore years, I used to be ostracized and it was hard to socialize outside academic hours since my classmates only wanted me around for schoolworks. By junior year, I took art-centered classes and I made school friends that I clicked with. And now, in my senior year, I sure hope to make a memorable experience.
